What is Samaritan House?
Samaritan House is the leading resource for all things related to violence in Hampton Roads. We’ve been serving victims for 35 years, providing emergency safe housing, counseling, victim advocacy (court accompaniment and assistance), medical care, transportation, food assistance, child art/play therapy and counseling, job training, and so much more. Our goal is to get survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking (as well as homeless families) back on their feet, so they can lead independent lives away from their abuser. If you are experiencing domestic violence please call the 24-hour crisis hotline at 757-251-0144.
